Life in a rain drop

Life in a rain drop

Round and robust it rests
Reflecting million colours of the universe
Dangling from the top
An innocent rain drop.

A Pretty Thing, sure must be an angel
Shouted in voice so surprisingly shrill

‘Oh, what a pain
That rain drop again?
It clutters the mind, makes it mean
Take a mop and wipe it clean!’

The starving shriveled bony man
Lips parched, spirit shrunk prayed in vain..

‘Leave to me that drop
For me it is eternal hope
Symbol of unending love
Signal of the continuing life’.
